Social Advocates for Youth's fall fundraiser, One Cold Night, is a county-wide movement of individuals who accept the challenge to sleep outside for one night to raise awareness and life-saving funds for homeless young people in our community.

This event harnesses the power of the individual, combined with the power of a community, to affect real change at a local level. Every dollar raised by Sleepers and their networks goes directly to getting young people off the streets, out of human trafficking, and connected with caring adults and supportive services. This year, Sleepers will spent One Cold Night at our host site, the Santa Rosa Junior College.

In 2019 youth homelessness increased by 29% in Sonoma County. This means 657 young people under the age of 25 are experiencing homelessness in our community right now. Youth are still the most unsheltered population in Sonoma County - 93% will sleep outside tonight, vulnerable and alone.

Now more than ever the most vulnerable young people among us need access to safe housing, mental health care, and workforce development opportunities. When an entire community stands in support of those who need it most, we make true progress toward a brighter, stronger future.

Get involved. Be an advocate. #OneColdNight2019
